One preset. Eight snapshots. A complete live show rig, from clean verses to boosted solos, all under your feet.
Audio is raw Helix output. No post processing, no double tracking, no added reverb or EQ.
Snapshots are the eight variations living inside this one preset. You switch between them with your feet. They run in gain order in four groups: two cleans, three drives, the big ambient sound, then the two boosted solos.
Snapshots 7 and 8 sit about 4 dB above the rest. That is a lead boost on purpose, and the README tells you how to level it out if you would rather it did not.
No, and that is the point. It runs on a stock Line 6 cab, so there is no IR to purchase, no file to load into a numbered slot, and no way to hit the "IR could not be found" error. Import one file and play.
Yes. Every Helix preset, from anyone, installs through HX Edit on a Mac or Windows computer over USB. The Helix has no flash drive port, no memory card slot, and no wifi, and presets cannot travel over MIDI. HX Edit is a free download from Line 6. If you do not own a computer, any borrowed laptop will do the job in about five minutes, and once the preset is on your Helix it stays there.
That is exactly what it was built for. Eight snapshots cover clean verses, ambient pads, edge of breakup, full rhythm, a big ambient lead, and two boosted solos. Jake runs entire services and shows on it without ever leaving the patch.
For live shows, the big master volume knob between 50 and 70 percent is the sweet spot. That is where it was dialed in going direct to front of house, and it leaves the engineer plenty of headroom at the board.
Yes. It works across the board with all guitars. It was dialed in on an HSS and checked against single coils and humbuckers, and it holds up on all of them. Hotter pickups may want the input pad on, which is one setting and covered in the guide.
Very close. The demo is raw Helix output with nothing added, no post processing and no double tracking, so what you hear is genuinely what the preset does. Your guitar, pickups, and speakers are their own instrument though, so expect to nudge a knob or two to sit it in your room. That is normal, and the guide tells you which three settings matter most.
A zip file containing the preset, an illustrated PDF setup guide, the same guide as plain text, and the license. The PDF walks through install, the three global settings that matter, what every snapshot does, and live volume, all laid out so you can read it on a phone at soundcheck.
Yes. Records, releases, live shows, services, streams, videos, commercial or not. No extra fee and no credit required. The only thing you cannot do is resell or share the file itself.
